Chicago Bears

Chicago Bears are a professional American football team from Chicago, Illinois.They are members of the North Division of the National Football Conference (NFC) in the National Football League (NFL) and are the current NFC champions.The Bears have won nine national championship of American Football (8 NFLchampionship and Super Bowl XX), second only to the Green Bay Packers, whohave won 12. 

The Bears have the most enshrinees in the Pro Football Hall of Fame with 26 members.
The club was founded in Decatur, Illinois, in 1919 and moved to Chicago in 1921.They played at the home stadium Wrigley Field until 1970, then moved to Soldier Field except in 2002. The stadium is located near Lake Michigan.

Their names were originally the Decatur Staleys, founded by A. E. StaleyCompany in Decatur, Illinois in 1919 as a corporate team. They hired GeorgeHalas and Edward "Dutch" Sternaman in 1920 to manage the team, and transferfull control of the team to them in 1921.

Together with the Arizona Cardinals, the Bears are one of only two chartermembers of the NFL that still exist. The team moved to Chicago in 1921, and was renamed the Chicago Staleys. Under the agreement between Halas, Sternaman,and Staley, Halas purchased the rights of ownership of this club from Staley at a price of U.S. $ 100. In 1922, Halas changed the name of this team from Staleys to the Bears.
